ABOUT THIS ALBUM:
WE BEHOLD is a collection of live worship songs from Church of the City New York Worship, proclaiming and reflecting the power of Jesus in the middle of our city.
ABOUT CHURCH OF THE CITY NEW YORK:
We are a generative community of Christians in the heart of New York City with a deep hunger to see modern revival in our time by declaring the renewing power of Christ over our city. We sing to bring ultimate glory to Jesus, and to celebrate the redemptive work of salvation in our community, and to share the fruit of our praise with the Church. We long to see heaven crack though the darkness, and for the hearts of the prodigals in our city to return to the loving arms of their Father.
ABOUT ISAAC AND EMILY GAY:
Isaac and Emily Gay are the co-founders of Church of the City Worship and the worship pastors of Church of the City New York. In 2016 Isaac and Emily felt the Lord call them to move to NYC not knowing why or what He had in store for them. Months later they were welcomed into the community that they now call home.
Isaac and Emily wrote the music and lyrics for the church’s first live EP called, “WE BEHOLD” (April 2018) and they continue to feel the fire of God’s heart for songwriting within the church.
Their vision is to create an environment of expectation where people encounter the Living God, and are empowered to worship extravagantly in all of life. Their prayer is to raise up worshippers who love the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength, who live in the way of Jesus for the renewal of the City
